Juniper House Outreach (Digby) and The Women’s Place Resource Centre are partnering to offer a FREE Women’s Wellness Fair that includes both displays and workshops. This relaxed and fun event will be held on November 14 from 10 am to 2 pm, at the Desmond Piers Memorial Hall, 268 Marine Drive, Cornwallis Park.
In addition to the trade show, with a variety of information relating to women’s wellness and well-being, there will be four fun workshops:
10:30 am – 11:30 am Bringing Self Care into Your Day with Grounding Practices and Energy Healing (Speyeral Beauty-Jessica Copp)
11:30 am – 12:30 pm Rock Painting: Bring Joy to Places You Love (The Family Centre)
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm Yoga/Stretching Exercises (Fundy YMCA)
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Music in Our Daily Lives (Between the Mountains Music Therapy – Lindsay Ward)

Juniper House provides a safe refuge for women and their children who have experienced abuse. In addition to an emergency shelter, the organization offers counselling, programs, advocacy, referrals and outreach services to women in Digby, Shelburne and Yarmouth Counties.
The Women’s Place Resource Centre is dedicated to the well-being and economic status of women in the King’s, Annapolis and Digby Counties. They offer a variety of services and programs, as well as creating a safe space for women to gather, share, grow, and be.
